Conversation, in part, is self-expression. Conversation is a two-way thing, involving give and take, action and reaction. Indeed it is a many-way thing — the conversation of many ideas among many people.
Conversation is a friendly art with a double pleasure — the warmth of sharing sharing similar beliefs, and the stimulation of discovering differences.
Communication skills are developed with deliberate effort and practice. Learning a foreign language is truly hard. There is a major distinction between spoken and written language. Conversation, i.e. when we speak a language, it involves immediate interchange between the participants who convey their reactions both in words and facial expression and physical gestures. We get little time to think about grammar, vocabulary in spoken language with respect to written language.
